  1. I have a couple intermittent problems. First when I am just feeding the vinyl back and forward to check the tracking sometime the machine just resets, it will do this pretty consistently after it does it the first time. Today Using flexi 7.6 when I did the show me option it started tracing the square to show me where it would cut and about halfway on the first side of the square it dropped the blade and started to cut. I have used this option many times before and it hasn't done this. Also sometime just sitting in the default position the blade drops down on the cutting strip. The machine is actually pushing the blade down because if you gently try to push up on the holder you can feel it pushing down. It doesn't hum or anything its just like it's stuck in the down position, the reset doesn't fix it either, But if you turn the whole thing off then on it will fix it most of the time. It works fine so far if I get it to stay up. I haven't had it ruin any jobs thankfully so far. Also just today when the blade dropped while doing the show me thing the screen when blank. I turned it off then on and it was ok, But while I was cutting my job the screen went blank as well. I don't know if I am the only one with this problem. So far it hasn't cost me any money but I can see how if it does this at the wrong time it could and it's pretty darn annoying. Any help would be appreciated. I'm Using a MH721 with Flexi 7.6 and windows XP the cutter is connected through the serial cable I couldn't get the parrallel to work and didn't want to bother with the usb emulation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

MH721 Not Completing the Cut using Flexi 7.5

As far as I can tell the knife offset is what fixes this. I have mine set to .012inches. You can find it under the production manager Setup tab, default job properties. its the third tab over that looks like a knife. welding can help sometimes but this it the only thing i have found that pretty much cures it, most of the time. if you look at the blades they sent, the offset is .25mm in inches that is about .01 inches. Also the vinyl that comes with the plotter is not the greatest and can cause problems sometimes.
  3. Just a couple of things i have done with my cutter the quote is for a customer the other two were for around the house. [attachment deleted by admin]
  4. I See what you mean, I was wondering what the tape measure on the back was for. I was doing it by cutting the end of the vinyl off with a paper cutter so it was square and then aligning the newly squared end up with one of the cutoff lines. I think your way will be much easier. thanks. In my previous post though i was talking left to right ie the space the blade can't reach because of the carriage hitting the wall. But i think this will take care of that.
  5. I have a MH721 and it works good. One thing i would like would be some type of guide to take up the space under the default cutter head position to align my vinyl against other wise if you line it up against the edge of the cutter. you waste almost 3 inches of vinyl. there are ways around this but that would make life easier.
