Wishlist for SCAL3Pro features you would like to see added.
Promise replied to mars's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
A few things I would like to see added are some of the features that signblazer has. Like being able to add a border weeding box around each design that is laid out automatically. I cut 10 to 20 designs at a time and it becomes a chore to add a weed box to each one. I know I can select a bunch at a time and add one big weed border. But when I am chopping on my paper cutter it makes it easier to not to chop into a design if each one has it's own border. And also to be able to align designs to each other not just the edges of the work space. -

Well considering most settlements come with a non-disclosure she more than likely just can not talk about it. -
I second Vector Magic. Nice software, much smoother and more intuitive than using Live Trace in illustrator or Bitmap Trace in Inkscape

Another great place to get cheap or even free professional quality design work. The local community college design classes, either put up an ad at the campus or even approach the teacher to do a project for the class.

Main PC has Raid 0+1 (Striping for speed with a mirror on a second set of HD's for back up), 1tb external HD for secondary daily backups, and DVD's for storage backups that go into a fire safe. And next on the list is a Drobo Drive for real time backups. These things are amazing.

I have both programs and use SCALP exclusively now. I think I used signcut for about 2 days before giving up on it, it just seemed harder to use. With SCALP I had everything going and was designing and cutting in about 10 minutes. Also you can pick it up from USCutter on ebay for $100 Here

I got lucky and read these forums before my first purchase and skipped the greenstar And welcome from Las Vegas

So I see that the software now supports eps files, making it a viable cutting solution for me. But I was wondering if anyone can verify the software works with a zencut black? Thanks in advance. And for anyone who doesn't receive UScutter emails and those of us who missed out on the first 2 batches at $50. The software is back on sale for the next 2 days. $100 off with promo code SCALPRO-0812

Greenstar Medium Tack paper for large decals that need to be rolled for shipping. But RTape Clear Choice AT75 is my go to app tape for everything else. I love this stuff. Tears easy by hand. Works great with wet and dry application. Sticks well to matte colors that I used to have trouble with on medium tack tape. And can easily reuse a sheet a couple times.

Made this decal yesterday for my step daughters nexus 7 case. Took about a half hour to make the vector and thought it was too cool not to share. I recommend anyone with kids should grab it. grumpy_cat.eps

In my experience USPS loses about 1 in every 50 to 75 orders I mail... -

I second this. When I worked in retail years back vinyl sign makers would stop by occasionally and show us their work and advise us on what they could do for the store. And it worked, we ended up purchasing a full store front. So hit up the strip malls.
