How many use pricing software?
Benr98 replied to Benr98's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
John, I know where you're coming from!!! -
Hello and welcome. I use the Epson 1280 for dye sub. Like anything some like it some don't. I use the bulk dye sub ink and purchased it from Johnson Plastics. I do not think inkjet transfer sheets will work as well on mugs. I know the dye sub advertising mugs we did turned out great. Jenny

I would like to combine 2 images at once and was wondering if I can open 2 images at once thru Signblazer, if so how? Thanks Jenny

It looks like the Refine and P-cut seem to be in a tight fight for first....

WOW you must know our 'old' vinyl guy, could never get ahold of him and than we would have to wait around to get our vinyls...so we got our own..and thrilled we did.

It's neat to see why people got started in vinyl..................heck I just started, because I like to be creative, unfortunately I'm still working on that. :-

The only problem I have is when it tells me that I have an update and I update SBE the cutter than don't want to cut, like it's making changes...and than I don't know how to figure it out So I backdated to BEFORE the update and I was back to cutting. I have NO idea what had happened...and a little leery of doing updates. Jenny

I'm trying to locate cartoon-ish or humorous images, (such as the cartoon like cars, truck or the 'bite me' guy) just to give you an idea what I'm thinking. They don't have to be free...I'm just having a hard time locating any. Thanks. Jenny Some examples are below.

Mark, Other than making a couple adjustments to our cutter when we did some small decals, we left the setting where it's at, so sorry I can't be more specific. I think Thermoflex is a LITTLE thinner than the sample sign vinyl we've received. You might just need to make a small adjustment, but you should be fine other than that. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Jenny

Mark, Thermo-Flex Plus is a heat transfer material suitable for most cotton, cotton-polyester, wool, lycra, and other basic fabrics including many athletic mesh fabrics. The self adhesive layer permits high speed cutting, ultra-fine detail, and easy weeding. Cut in mirror image through adhesive layer (dull side) to the plastic backing. Weed the excess material and lay the cut pattern on the fabric. Cover the design area with paper or cloth release sheet. Irons can be used, but for best results, a heat press is preferred at 340

Welcome to the forum. Great bunch of people here. We are new to cutters & vinyl and bought our cutter just last month and with the help of this forum, have already done some neat decals....haven't tried more than one color....YET! Jenny

Lisa, Hope all goes well with your Thermoflex, we like it. My daughter (13) is very creative and I hope she decides to start making some of her own designs as well. We currently live in Michigan but will be moving out of state in the next year or two. Jenny

We do some dye sub as well, I prefer to do mugs than shirts as the cost of shirts is still quite pricey. I've sent you a PM. Jenny

Thanks to you both!! I definitely see alot of mini vans with those on their windows!

Just curious how many are using Adobe CS3 and how it performs with your cutter? We have been checking into getting AI and wanted to hear what you alll had to say first. We are using the Copam, so interested also to hear from those that use CS3 with their Copam. Thanks so much. Jenny

heat press queston!!!!1
Benr98 replied to godstrong1's topic in Clamshell Heat Press Discussion or Support
I second John's advice. We like the durability of the vinyl on shirts over screen printing, but that's just my opinion. -
Thanks Jerry!!
