Yes, I did it all in SignBlazer. It took me a little time to figure things out but I really like the program. I have Adobe Illustrator and some other editing programs but I find I can do most everything with the basic version of SignBlazer. It is really what sold me on the USCutter in the first place. I was ready to spend about 3 times what I did on my PCut but the other guys software wouldn"t do nearly as much as SignBlazer. To get software that was even close to SignBlazer Elements I would have had to spend an extra 4 to 5 hundred dollars.

Try this one. When you import to signblazer your text gets converted to curves. I did a Arrange + Split objects and erased the text. I had to do a Arrange + Weld and Punch Through to punch the white part of the baseball through the black. Then erased the now gray ones. Then I added the text back in. You can change the font if you want. To curve the text I created the text then did a Text + Fit to curve. baseballhelp.SBD

I can't believe 100 posts on a single topic, especially this topic. That has go to be some sort of record. There are some categories that don't have 100 posts. Maybe se should have Ken make this it's own category? :woohoo:

Go to View + Outline and zoom in on your text. It looks like it is made up of small rectangles. The white that shows up when you are in cut mode is the cutouts in your design.

If you could mail me a piece I would be willing to try it on my machine.

Do you re-use your stencils or is it onetime only? The paint mask is good for one time only but will not be good for re-use. It sounds like your material can be used over and over. Does your polyethylene come with a backing paper?

You cannot cut a bitmap file. It hase to be converted to vector format first. Under Image + Vectorize in SignBlazer you cna conver your bitmap to vector. you have to convert it to black and white first. Vector magic site is another way to convert images. http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/ -
Check out this thread. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?topic=3316.0 It is an adhesive fabric that can be printed on.

I really struggled with the layering when I first started. I will usually have my bottom color just a solid shape and then everything will lay on top of it. There are some cases like yours where you want somethng to show through. I am still fairly new at this but I am getting better at looking at how the vinyl will be applied.

I think you want to get rid of most of the cuts inside of the black. The only cuts should be the text. The extrreme should cut larger than the green so you still have your white border (the banner). Softball should cut also to show the banner through. All of the other inner cuts can go away. Then your green will lay on top of your black in those areas. The green extreme will lay right on top of your banner.

I think you had it but your cutout in the black needs to be moved to the green. The black should be solid with no cutouts.

I think you have your space saver checked in the cut settings. There are two tabs in the cutter panel. Select the Save space tab and make sure none of them are checked. Then try again.

I have used Infranview before. It is freeware that will show thumbnails of just about any graphic file. You can even re-size the thumbnails to make them bigger. http://www.irfanview.com/

Something like this? I just drew it with Polylines in SignBlazer. NMCC_Eagles.EPS

I got a call from harbor Sales asking how I liked the samples. They asked a few questions. While I was on the phone I was surfing their website. Found free samples of LG vinyl too. http://www.harborsales.net/lgcontactus.cfm

UpNorth is correct. If you select one of your O's then use the down arrow key to move it you can see that the center is actually a black shape rather than a cutout. See the attached image.

There are a couple ways to do what you are asking: Way 1 - When you are in Cut Mode if you select all of the colors to cut (hold down the control key as you select) it will cut everything. Way 2 - There are 7 elements in this file. A rectangle background, The 3 face elements the body and the 2 body cutouts. 1. Delete the rectangle background. 2. Then you want to select the body and 2 cutouts (While in select mode drag a rectangle accross the body) and do an arrange + weld + punch through. This will make the to cutouts actually cut through the body. 3. Then you can delete the cutouts leaviing the body with holes in it. Then you should only have one color to cut.

You can do it as you type also. Type a letter, Change the size in the text format box, press enter, type another letter and it will be the new size.
