Jerry... your ROCK!! Now if I can just keep my friends and co-workers from knowing I have this, all is good... otherwise, I know what I'll be doing in my spare time for the next 3 months, lol.

I noticed this early on... prior to even getting my cutter, I looked into setting up a ebay store until I saw how flooded ebay was with vinyl decals. Mainly copyright stuff... yes, people are making a killing on it. I said from the begining that I wouldn't do that, and I plan on staying true to that. It sucks having morals, lol.

That's awesome... I'm just a little over covering the cutting and supplies, and have a few things in the works that should bring in a decent amount of coin. I'm saving all my vinyl earnings for a cruise to Alaska... in mid 2009.

Solutions... buy a small external hard drive, and just carry it from home to work. Since .eps files are so small, a 40gb would work great, can be powered by a usb cable only, and probably only about $30.00!

window sign pricing
firemalt replied to HtsNstr21's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I would probably go with $10 per sq. ft., $25 for setup/design, and $40 per hour for installation... but that's just my .02 -
It should auto update anytime there is a new version released... not everytime you open the program. Are you sure you are installing the update, and not just downloading it?

Here's what I do(for a two layer decal). 1. type the text. 2. select/highlight the text 3. change to the color you want. 4. copy the text. 5. add the expand/outline/border to the text. 6. select/highlight the new text. 7. change the color. 8. paste the original text. If you don't move anything, it will paste perfectly in place.

Download the ttf font file to your computer's font folder. C:, Windows, Fonts Sometimes I've had to actually open the file after downloading it, for it to show open in the SBE font list.

This is always a good easy way to convert a file/image over to .eps http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/

I swear... this site never fails to impress me. The kindness, and helpfulness around here, just makes me love this place. Thanks guys!!!

I believe the title says it all... thanks for the help!

You can do as Bill said, or you could just type out two different words, and then move one on top of the other(deleting the "split objects" step. Again, as Bill said, don't forget to "weld" the text together, or the cutter will cut places you don't want it to.

On the note as well... how many people actually have their images in order(i.e. categories like "animals" or "auto racing", etc.)? I'm still well under 500 images, and I've already seen a need to do this, so I started early.

I just tried opening all of them in SBE, and nothing happened :why:

getting a new laptop - issues with moving Signblazer over there?
firemalt replied to dtfastbear's topic in SignBlazer
Oh sweet... I didn't know this was possible! I was under the impression that I was going to have to buy a new activation code. Thanks!!! -
Open SB, on the top menu where the icons are, there is one labeled "borders". Click on that, then move your curser into the work space, and right click on the mouse to bring up your options. You can click on the "border style" to change the style. Click on "okay", then start creating!!!

LMAO... my girlfriend is a ICU nurse at a county hospital here in the Houston area... she would love something like that.

I would say that's something you take in consideration when giving a quote.

I only saw the first half of the game and commercials... I planned on finding a site that has all the commercials, so I'll get back to this one.
