    The ^ < V game.

^ it's a toss between the heat or all the public school kids hanging out everywhere. < getting ready to head up to the "old" house to prep it for painting so we can get it listed for sale. V If could meet one person (living or dead), who would it be and what would you say (or ask)? God and Jesus do NOT count.
  2. At a glance - counter-clockwise. After watching it a bit, it goes both ways

Life would be so much better if ...

... people stopped spamming others with chain letter emails.
  4. I suggest you contact Ken asap.
  5. Make sure the carriage isn't resting/depressing one of the red kill buttons. If is it, turn cutter off and gently move the carriage away by hand.
  6. Welcome to the forum. You would probably get a faster response if you posted this in the right bulletin board (i.e. LaserPoint). I'm not sure what readcutter is. That being said. If you have design that you know will fit within the width of your cutter and vinyl, but it's hitting the red kill button, then you need to scoot your vinyl away from the button, move the carriage to the correct starting point, and reset the x/y to = 0.

    fonts went nuts!

Thanks. Well, as of now, those seem to be the only apps that started to display differently. The only thing that I "accepted" was the auto update. I let it run overnight because it was kind of dragging its feet. When I came back and rebooted in the morning, that's when I discovered that the font in my emails and browsers were completely different. Thanks for the suggestion. I will make a point to go into each app and straighten it out.
  8. wasn't there a tech "in training"? Steve, right? or am I just looney? (which is a distinct possibility )

    cutter will not cut!

Ken, what driver update is that? I don't have LaserPoint on the list of cutters. I'm still using PCUT, and quite frankly almost hesitant to want to update the driver, since what I have not works.
  10. pricing seems to be one of the biggest "what should I do" questions here. I can't say that I have any really great advice, nor have I really received any (not to the fault of this forum). I guess what it really boils down to is that if you're planning on selling on eBay, than it's really hard to set a "retail" price. You should either price competitively with others, or just go cheap and hope for a small bidding frenzy. Just know what your actual cost is for time, materials, wear & tear, and postage, and the rest is gravy. When people ask me I just usually respond with, "How much do you it would cost at (insert name of a store that carries that type of decals)?" Sorry I couldn't give you better advice. Good luck!
  11. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling everything. But before you do, when you go to the cut screen - which cutter are you selecting? I had initialization errors because I had the wrong cutter selected.

    OPINIONS PLEASE.... BE HONEST!

unless they're married to the heart ... I'd get rid of it completely. It kind of clashes (can't really think of the right word I want to use) with the cougar, tiger, whatever ferocious animal that's supposed to be. If the heart is a keeper no matter what, then it definitely needs to be reduced in size, and possibly straightened out. That's just my

    What to do ?

I say you can take a bit of advice from everyone .... Take a John's dog, have it pee on the door way. After hours, go by the store and take half the sign down ... but not the left or right window pane - I'm thinking more along the lines of select letters and/or numbers that might make the sign something else completely ... or just every other letter and number ... because that's just the type of person that I am Then if she gives you more grief, tell her she needs to route any communication thru your attorney or if she wants to avoid litigation - to send the money via cashier's check or money order. ... and that you won't have to charge her for signage removal

    NEED INPUT.....

The oval makes it look old school (in a good way). I think that without the oval it looks cleaner somehow, but unbalanced. I would go with the oval ... or when it doubt, have the customer make the decision.

    Funniest comedians :D

Too many people get offended with comedy. It's becoming too "PC". I think that's why I like to watch Kathy Griffin - She's not PC at all.

    The ^ < V game.

^ Cool thread you started. I will definitely contribute to the thread, just as soon as I have nothing to say and something to share. There were way too many people not paying attention the simple rule you listed. :- < Gonna try and do a little wrenching on my HEEP Jeep today. Gotta get it running so that I can sell that beast. V What's your favorite Olympic sport to watch?

It pays to get up early

I was pooling in with a few family members to do garage sales. We mainly used craigslist to advertiser. Even if we listed a start time of 9am, people would be popping up and sometimes even knocking on the door to the vacant house that we were using for our garage sale as early as 6:30am. The problem got so bad that I started to append to the listing - "Early bird welcomed - $20 entry fee" That started to deter people, then they would just sit across the street in their cars until 9am came around

Sweet! Let me know how much you'd like for it with shipping via USPS First Class or USPS Priority to zip code: 96823.
  19. I had that issue on more than several occasion when I first got started. It had more to do with using the right driver and version of SBE. I had to uninstall and reinstall several times. If you have a serial port, I would give that a try. If you don't have a serial port, you might want to consider getting a keyspan (serial to USB) adapter. Give us a heads-up to help you. I would recommend that you post your info in your signature ... cutter, PC or Mac, USB or Serial, SBE or some other type of cutting software, etc. We can usually help faster because we don't end up asking for that information.

If anyone has a pre-N wireless adapter for sale (PCI or USB), let me know how much. I haven't quite finished networking my house, so I'm on wireless in the meantime. Man, having myself as a client - what crappy customer service, I should've fired myself for not "returning to the job" and finished pulling all the cable
  21. Any chance you'll post them on eBay, and not gouge on shipping to Hawaii??
  22. Will it fit an LP, and if it does, would you care to sell it to me
  23. I'm faced with a nightmare small business network that I'm supposed to start managing. I want to setup a data farm for these guys (they are currently using their existing server (all of 32G SCSI) for this). Anyway - so my thoughts were to go external (because they have lots of "off site back-up paranoia" issues). 1T | USB | Raid 1 (HD to be swapped out on a daily basis ... because why not have it on four drives than just two? ) Would I just be better off setting up a file server with removable SCSI for easy off-site "back-up"? The network in its entirety needs to be redone ... new servers (I know they are not going to be going for that), new cabling, new switches, the whole nine yards. They are not willing to shell out for the big overhaul, but have instructed me to do it in small bits. I figured if I can do everything but replacing the servers. What are y'all thoughts on that? You guys know any suggestions is always appreciated
