    Sign-Cut 4 hour support

It does seem like the folks at signcut are more worried about money and profit than helping customers. If you read back on my post about my first experience with them... They invalidated my license, which was only a 1 year free one that i found come with the plotter when it was shipped to the company I purchased. A lot of folks chastised me for expecting them to honor it- when the license should have been owned by the company in the first place. I purchased part of a company- the rest was the customers which couldn't come with me to another state.... so end story- they removed support for a 1 year free license that was sold with a plotter by USCUTTER. What did that gain? I am not happy about it. However, how long had you waited for an answer from support? They do gurantee support if you have a valid license- which one do you have? I guess if you had waited days without an answer you may be justified, but if it would have been me they would get constant emails until I got an answer. I wouldn't spend a dime to get one- because it would be justified since you knew what you were buying into, unless of course they never contacted you in the 4 hour timeframe. I see both sides of the fence...
  5. This can cause sloppyness too...
  6. I am actually wondering if super-glue or JB Weld/Epoxy would hold it for the time being... however I am concerned about having to send the whole thing in just to have this fixed etc. Then to mention warranty or not, or wether or not it will cost me an arm and a leg if it is not warrantied. :'(
  7. Take a look--- Has anyone else experienced this breaking before? I have submitted a support ticket to remedy the issue- hopefully it can be fixed fast because I am sitting on a big job that I need to get done

    Looking fabric vinyl?

Seems to me it says right on the page that it is not vinyl at all... just self adhesive fabric that is re-positionble. Probably cut by hand or by a cricut machine by the looks of it with some sort of tacky adhesive on the back.
  9. USCUTTER's Greenstar vinyl also has a plain backing. Their blue looks to be a standard royal/cobalt blue color and weeds very nicely. I still prefer oracal tho.

    Robins Egg Blue Vinyl

Check out signpile.com - I would think at least ONE of oracal's blue colors in the intermediate/cal vinyl would fit the bill- and there you can order samples for a couple dollarts.

    Free samples of Siser

Yeah I emailed siser today asking about samples because of the dead link. The marketing people forwarded me addresses of two places that sell it, one in chicago and one equally far from me. I am in Des Moines, Iowa.

  15. Thanks for the insight guys... I have been playing with SignBlazer for a portion of the evening. I do like that you can import multiple jobs and lay them out with weeding lines for one big job to cut several smaller jobs all at once (didn't seem like you could even dream of that in signcut as you had to import one job, reset the origin and then cut the next job etc.) I will have to play with it more unless someone would like to point me to a good tutorial or maybe help me some night using some remote presentation software or something (which I DO have at my disposal) or idk. anything. IMO both pieces of software has it's pros and cons, I DO use inkscape for all my artwork and designing needs, and tend to save everything in SVG format which SB doesnt seem to support, but also signcut's svg support is goofy where you have to open it, then click on import to have it actually displayed. I do like how signcut's tiles and weeding line tools work as well. The other problem I forsee, Is that I do tend on staying up-to-date with my software on my machine, and am already running Windows 7. I have my doubts if the compatibility will always be there with signblazer, whereas signcut
