Top 20 things I have learned in the first 10 years of the sign business

Absolutely awesome post...thank you and all words taken to heart. I have already learned a few odf them the hard way! -
no problem. I figured the grey background would be easier to work if you didnt have to fit the other two inside. I made it a full uncut layer. the other two should fit but check the nodes to make sure they match up right.

I did one before I read the rest of the thread. lol Here is mine in layers. I did some fine tuning too. logo layers.ai

I did my version of the Grand Ledge design. White base is 3M Scotchcal Blue is General Formulations 5000 series Yellow is MacTac (I love this stuff!) Thank you reg marks for working on this the 3rd try! lol Got it down now after a bit of Pressure adjustments and node fine tuning.

well it has a clear backing which is nice for release and it cuts ok but it seems to get lifted in my cutter if it is a fine detail type of design. It is very soft and a bit thin. Real small pieces end up on the carriage. Other than that it's a nice producr. I use it exclusively for base cuts ( under hard to see colors) now or simple cuts and font.

This is supposed to be the equivalent of 651 so I am happy with it.

Logo and Vinyl Graphic Pricing
prototype66 replied to ezgraphix's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
As far as logo design i recommend you figure out how much per hour you feel is fair and how long the entire process took from concept to finished graphic design. otherwise you can go online and google logo design, look at a few other companies, their process and what they charge as a guide. That too is a touchy subject. Based on your experience, location time and involved you should be able to be in a happy medium and make money. Just my 2 cents. -
