Machine had been working intermittently and then stopped working altogether. Out of desperation I unplugged the lever sensor and plugged it in upside down and it works. My guess is there is a connection issue or bad sensor. I can operate this way but need to unplug sensor every time I want to load/unload/setup new material. Maybe I need an electrician to check electrical connections? Will try cleaning connections first. Thanks to all for advice! Will report back once solved.

Just to be clear for anyone who doesn't know - the lever sensor connector wire was upside down. I unplugged it and flipped it 180 degrees and plugged it back in and it started working. It was working intermittently when plugged in the other way so it could be that there is a bad connection or it was upside down. Not sure but so happy that it is now working. Thanks to all who gave their advice and time!

SOLVED!!!!!! The lever sensor was installed upside down by previous owner or tech who last cleaned it. It looks as if it should go the other way. I was getting desperate and thought I would try anything so I decided to pull it and install upside down and to my surprise it started working. Hope this might help someone else.

Menu options not listed without media loaded first. Will try it once media loads. Thanks!

Thanks Dakotagrafx for responding! I have been cutting graphics for 25 years with Graphtec cutters. My problem is not loading the media. Media is loaded correctly. The problem is machine is not sensing media. Problem is intermittent as if something is shorting out or a bad connection. The front, rear and lever sensors have been disconnected, cleaned and re-installed. I have flipped lever and covered front/rear sensors and sometimes it senses media and sometimes it doesn't. It is pretty random which makes me think it is the main board where sensor info is sent has a bad connection. I saw an earlier post where someone recommended disabling the sensors or bypassing the lever sensor. Not sure how to do this but I will try this in the next few days and post results. I have scoured the internet for info and this is a problem that doesn't seem to have an answer. My machine works great other than this problem. Any help is appreciated!

Yes. No sounds. Load media is all I see whether I lower lever or engage lever. I should be able to go into Service Mode and test sensors according to manual. Manual says - Power on while holding Test and Enter at the same time. Tried this numerous times and nothing. Going to try calling local company that works on Graphtec. Will report back with findings. I have a backup cutter so not an emergency but a pain in the a**!

Model FC 7000 -130 Graphtec I load 24" vinyl and pull lever and does nothing. Was working yesterday. Read the trouble shooting directions in manual. Cleaned all the sensors. Did a factory reset. Took the left cover off and removed cam sensor. Do not believe it is the sensor. Would not go into service mode so I could not check all sensors. The one thing I noticed - usually when you turn machine on a fan or some sound starts but now when you turn it on it is silent. Have had Graphtec cutters for 20 years and am stumped. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
