  1. I know it's been discussed before but do many people do this? I've thought about trying it but didn't know how hard it was and what all was involved. If anyone has any tips or pointers, please let me know. Also if anyone has videos of the process, PLEASE post them or send them to me or something. I seen where beardown had posted a video a while back but it no longer exists.

Again, I would like to hear anything anyone has to say about the topic. It seems like it would work pretty well and then I wouldn't have to use all the chemicals and time involved with a screen printing setup.

    Thanks!

  2. I know this is a shot in the dark, but does anyone have any game console skin templates or cellphone or ipods or anything? lol Just curious. I've been looking for these for the past couple of years and have yet to find anyone willing to share or sell them.

  3. thank you everyone for calming my nerves some. I just know that I have hated my creation recently. I would say out of every 10 decals I cut, 6 to 8 of them are junk. I can NOT cut more than 1 at a time. I had an order come in of baseball decals last week...they wanted 20 6" wide baseballs (very simple design) so I layed them all out on the screen in coreldraw and sent them to the cutter (keep in mind, EVERY program I've tried does the same thing as well as other cords...so it's a cutter issue) and it cut the first one perfectly, it went and cut the second one, but then on the third it just cut a line from the start point of the baseball all the way across the other two it already did. I decided maybe having 20 on the screen was the issue so I did only 3 and it did it the exact same way. Needless to say, cutting 20 decals 1 at a time SUCKS! So I think you might understand why I'm so worried.

As long as the Refine cutter is better than the creation I got from sign warehouse...I'll be fine!

  4. I'm reading the problems people are having about the "usb device malfunction" and the "machine cuts across the vinyl during multiple images" and I'm starting to think that the Creation pcut 630 has just had a new cover put on it with a different control panel and they added 1 pinch roller and called it a new machine. Am I correct? What are the odds that EVERY, not just 1 or 2, but EVERY problem people have on here with the MH721 are the same problems I've had with the creation pcut 630? This really sucks, I thought I had finally found a good machine for the money only to find that this machine sucks just like the one I have and it hasn't even arrived in the mail yet!!!!! I guess the old saying is true, "you get what you pay for". I guess the only way by graphics shop is gonna survive is if I invest around $4000 into a high, top of the line Roland machine or something. Like I said in another post, I'll be using the 30 day money back guarantee as soon as it arrives I'm sure. I'll give it a shot with a couple of big cuts and multiple images, but if it screws up 1 time...back in the box it goes. ;D

  5. I have tried cutting using usb and serial with the pcut and I have tried coreldraw x3 with sign tools, artcut, signcut x2, flexi, cibercut, vinyl master pro....ALL of them result in wasted vinyl. It actually got to the point where I was turning down big jobs because I knew it would result in more wasted material than usable either that or I would have to sit and tell the machine to cut each decal separately (which is a pain in the a@@ when you get an order of over 500 of the same thing). Hopefully I will have better luck with the new machine I just won on ebay because if not, I guess I will just close down shop until I have the money to buy a $1500+ machine. It really sucks when I'm outperformed by someone I know with a little 8" vinyl cutter just because he can tell it to cut 500 decals and actually walk away from his machine without worrying about it screwing up the vinyl.

  6. wow, people actually saying they like the pcut? I have the creation pcut 630 and absolutely HATE the thing. I'm wanting to replace it with the Refine MH721 and once I get the Refine, I will probably use the pcut as target practice! I've had NOTHING but bad luck with this piece of junk. 4 out of 5 jobs will screw up by just randomly cutting a line all the way across the page until it hits the shut-off switch...I can't cut more than 1 decal design at a time or it just stops and will show "Waiting" on the lcd screen for hours without ever doing anything else. I would never recommend it to anyone based on the problems I've had with it. Granted, I bought mine about 2 yrs ago from signwarehouse so I don't know if USCutters would be any different, but I for one hate it and would do anything to turn back time and not buy the stupid thing.

  7. no problem marcuso, I was just wondering because I was really interested in seeing some of the work done only to find the pictures gone. SOOOO, if anyone has pictures of completed work, please post them as I'd love to see what other people are doing.

  8. my question to some of these people is....why buy it if you know NOTHING about it? These people at UScutter sell the cutters, they don't make the software! If you need help learning how to use the software, go to the site for the software or look up the software online.

I just can't fathom the idea of spending money on something that I know NOTHING about and expect someone else to teach me everything. You should go into this industry knowing at least SOMETHING about how to use it and how to do it.

Well, thats all I needed to say. I just had to get it off my chest since these people seem to want a dang good price on a cutter WITH software AND accessories and they STILL expect a crash course on how to use it too. Did you guys buy your computers from walmart and then call the electronics department asking how to use it too?

  9. Ok, I currently have a pcut ct630 and if I try to cut more than 1 of the same image, it cuts the first one, starts the second one and then just drags across the vinyl til it hits the shutoff switch. My question is, does the MH721 do this too? I get orders a lot of 50+ of the same 6" - 8" decal and it takes forEVER sending the job to the cutter each time individually so I don't waste vinyl with the machine screwing up.

I am REALLLLY interested in the MH721 and if I know that it won't do the same crap as the pcut then I'll buy one tonite. I just for once want a machine that is dependable.

    Thanks!
