  1. At certain points during the cut, the cutter will stop.  The Offline light will blink, and then it will proceed with the cut.  But when it proceeds, the pause has caused the blade to be in the wrong place, so the object is not cutting correctly or completely.  So, if the object was a circle, the hiccup would cause it to cut more of an oval shape.

I don't know if it is a communication issue with the computer, a SignCut issue, or a Refine cutter issue.

  2. I have an issue with my Refine cutter.  It recently developed a random "hiccup" that shifts the rest of the cut and ruins the design.

I have been using SignCut for 7 years and not had any issues like this.  Full disclosure-  My computer still has Windows XP.

Is anyone familiar with this issue?

  3. Hopefully someone out there has seen this before.  I have been cutting with no major issues today.  When I went to make my twentieth cut of the day, all of a sudden my cutter won't cut.  Signcut is only asking me how I want to save my work when I click "cut out".  Any suggestions?

  4. I am using inkscape and signcut x2.  I can create my text, overlapped it (using the instructional video), and cut all 3 layers out.  The problem I have is that my back layer is overlapping and my refine cuts out the letters overlapping.  I have seen other posts about welding the background layer.  What feature is this in inkscape?  Or is it done in Signcut?  This is my first week cutting vinyl.  Any assistance is appreciated.

  5. I have been trying to get the 721 going for three days.  I have no experience with cutters or the software.  I have the computer and the cutter communicating.  I cannot get anything from inkscape to print.  I can't logon to Signcut for assistance.  all test cuts are the size of a quarter.  I am desparate for help!
