User 0 Posted June 6, 2019 I have issue, just got new plotter 1-2 months. Everything's great, but small letters 1" approximately not being cut well. Old plotter had the same problem, it's just seems like skipping spaces or not linking the stroke proper way. It's annoying to clear letters or small details. Does any one knows what is the deal. On picture I tried to show how it looks like
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted June 6, 2019 which model do you have - I have never had a problem with any of my graphtecs doing that - this was done on a ce5000 before I got the ce6000 - much smaller than you are trying to cut., also which software are you using? MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted June 6, 2019 Lets start with setting your blade depth correctly from the git go. Many users see the wrong instructions from the beginning. Congrats on your new machine. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder.
