Kcross47601 13 Posted April 7, 2015 I was wondering if there is a easy way to conver this to a cuttable vector without losing a lot of the detail. I tried to use inkscape to trace and convert to a eps file then import into SCALP but even after node editing, there are still paths that are not right. Does anyone also have any other images of mushrooms like this that I may be able to download?? Thanks guys, Kris
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted April 7, 2015 Give this a try. Its a PNG file but SCALP will import it.
OWJones 1,981 Posted April 7, 2015 It's going to take some node manipulation to clean it up, but here's a vector version. mushrooms.eps
Kcross47601 13 Posted April 8, 2015 Thanks for the help guys. What program are you using to convert it? Looking to upgrade soon to better software and get away from the freeware programs. Was thinking of Corel 6 or 7.
OWJones 1,981 Posted April 9, 2015 I do 99% of my raster to vector conversions in Vector Magic. http://vectormagic.com/home More because of laziness on my part than anything - it does most of the heavy lifting for me...
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted April 13, 2015 I personally use Corel Draw X7 I have used them since version 8 and upgrade every couple of years if there is a new feature.
