Black Ink Looks Gray

Hey everyone,

I'm using Cobra Ink pigment ink in a Cobra Ink printer. I'm having a problem where my blacks look dark gray and aren't truly black. Anyone had this issue? I'll be calling Cobra Ink on Fri. or Sat. but was hoping for some insights before that.

Don't know what programs you are designing in but here's a brief explanation of 'Rich Black' issues.

If you Google that term there's plenty more insight available online.

From within CorelDraw when I go to print, on the color tab of the Print dialog, there is a check box for "Preserve pure black" and I've noticed that it makes a difference in the blacks that are output.  There may be something similar in whatever software you're using.
