Lefturn 0 Posted March 16, 2008 HI, Looking for tips with the new Mini cutter. Do you need to to use cutting mats with this machine? What should the blade depth be?
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted March 16, 2008 this is based on the craft robo I had but should apply here as well as long as the vinyl is wide enough to go under both pinch rollers, you shouldn't need a mat. If the pinch rollers on this are adjustable, that's good...you can cut smaller widths of vinyl. If not,the vinyl needs to be the full width. But it is IMPORTANT that both pinch rollers catch the vinyl.
Lefturn 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Thanks BannerJohn. The rollers are fixed. I think I should have purchased a 12 " machine instead of this model. I just need to play around with the machine.
kenimes 42 Posted March 17, 2008 It does take a little getting used to. I had to play with it a bit before I was able to get a good cut out of it. One thing that I noticed was different on this unit is that the material feeds from front to back, as opposed to all of our other units which feed back to front. wg_hans 0 Posted March 17, 2008 Just wanted to add that we have updated the driver for this machine to support setting Speed and Force from the software. You can get the update here. SignCut-X2 V2.
