Linda1 15 Posted March 7, 2013 I made this banner for my church and put it outside with a southern exposure. I'm in western Pa., so we don't have extreme heat. I put it up the first of August and when I took it down in the fall it was full of cracks. It was the 10 oz greenStar. I expected it to last a little longer than 3 months. I need to redo the banner and wondered what weight, type to order. Pictures of the banner:
jaybyrd 3,770 Posted March 7, 2013 10 Oz. banner is extremely short term outdoors. 13 oz. is standard for outdoor, but heavier is better. Just make sure banner is tight as flapping in the wind will tear up even the best banner in no time. With the southern exposure I would expect it to fade faster than crack but with your cold temps you really need to make sure whatever type you use it stays tight. Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted March 7, 2013 + any banner is temporary - but use at least a 13oz outdoors.
