Vectorize size help please

Recommended Posts

I am having a issue with making this logo larger so I can vectorize it. Does anybody know how to do so? When I use inkscape and make it larger it gets ugly. This is the only image available. I am just looking to have it one color just like it is. Anybody help me out on this please and thanks!

Can't you just vector it in the size it's in and then make it larger? One vectored you can make it as big as you can with no loss of detail etc. And if you need to clean it up after you vector it, jsut zoom in on it to do the clean up. + key does that in inkscape.

You know...looking at this logo, it is two boxes, an oval, some type and some trees & bushes.

So, really the only things you need to vector are the trees and bushes.

BUT, the good news is the trees & bushes look like clipart pieces.

So, you can easily recreate most of the logo and go searching for some trees and bushes or just trace those.

When I vector it in the size that it is and then blow it up I lose all the detail in shrubs and trees! I can not recreate the logo either. This is the logo thats going on trucks and cars. I dont want to tweak it away from the orginal.

With such a small low resolution file you are not going to get detail.

It's not there. You need to ask your customer to provide a larger

logo in order to recreate the trees and bushes.

The type, the boxes and oval should be remade not traced.

More thoughts on this........

Your customer may have a vector file already and just doesn't

know it. Ask them who created the file, and if there were

other sizes or files provided they couldn't open (eps, ai, cdr, svg).

If they say wife or kid or niece or friend....you are probably

out of luck and will have to recreate it.

I have good luck asking them if they ever had a sign or banner

made for their company...often whoever made that has a vector.

Explain to your customer that your estimate did not include

recreating their logo. but,you can recreate it as close as

possible for an additional fee.

It is amazing how many "find" those files "they couldn't open"

when more money enters the picture.

Free Stock Photos.biz has a bunch of tree silhouette

vectors you may be able to use.

Good Luck.
