I'm soon taking my MH871 with me on a road trip. Here's a question to all of you entrepreneurs out there;

Can the MH series be run from a DC/AC converter, with an automotive battery? I can not locate the wattage and power requirements, other than amperage.

I know printers and computers

can be, as I've done it in the past on several occasions.

What I'd like to do, is to hit several of the big flea markets along the way, and even do truck lettering at

truckstops to help finance my travel expenses.

Any thoughts??

wattage = amperage X voltage: so take your amperage and multiply it by 120 to get watts. Any inverter that is safe for computers (with enough watts) should run the cutter.

you will want a inverter with a pure clean sine wave - not the cheap ones

It looks as if my 800 watt'r will work fine for the little I'll use it under those conditions. I wasn't sure if it would require a full 1500 watts, as most appliances and pwer tools need.

Has anyone else used a mobile set-up this way?
