Yay!!!!!! ready to buy more equipment but I have a question
Go-C Graphics posted a topic in General discussion
I finally have good money coming in and I want to buy some more equipment. I'm looking at a heat press and a sandblast cabinet. Should I wait till after Jan.1st for Tax reasons? I'm new to owning my own business and I'm not sure how everythings going to work out taxwise. Business wise I'm still pretty far into the red with all the investing I've had to do from my personal accounts to get started. I'm planning on finding a CPA once it's time to do taxes and I'm hoping he can help couch me to handle everything better in 2014 I know capital equipment purchase play a role in there somewhere so I'm not sure if I should buy the equipment this year or wait to the start of the new year. I'm really excited to get a heat press and I'm tired of sandblasting in the middle of my yard. LOL Anyone have any advice? -

Dear lord..... I have so much to learn.... Sometimes it's overwhelming. I guess I'll just go ahead and order the heat press. -
It won't help you set the blade but it helps a TON with everything else. I wasted a crap load of money messing up, forgetting to put the pinch rollers down. Like I said before, for some reason SCALP and signblazer wouldn't cut correctly for me. I'd get random diagonal cuts through the whole image, or it'd just put the blade down and unroll the whole roll of vinyl. I went through vinyl like crazy learning. Then I got the painters paper and I could screw up all day and it only cost me $5. I learned alot that way.

From the USCUTTER web site Included: 1x SC Cutter/plotter Unit 1x Aluminum Stand with Lockable Wheels (Optional) 2x Superior Ball-bearing Dual Roller 1x Cutting Blade Holder 1x Pen Holder with Blue Ink Cartridge (for plotter drawing) 1x USB Cable 1x Serial Cable 1x Cd with Windows Driver, Corel Draw Driver & PDF Manual 1x Dust cover 3 high quality blades: 2x45 degree and 1x60 degree It's the 5th bullet down on the SC model.

It's the brown paper....... You use a pen attachment and draw on it.

I'd highly recommend getting some painter paper from the hardware store and using the pen attachment to practice some. SCALP wouldn't cut properly for me. The painters paper is a cheap way to make alot of mistakes.

5600 is the Best I've used. 5500 and 5700 just suck. 5600 acts the most like a regular 651 vinyl

I ended up repurposing my dinning room with a 4x8 sheet of plywood and sawhorses to weed and tape. -
Ship My Order Please!!
Go-C Graphics replied to phaney's topic in Criticism and Complaints about USCutter
I've started dealing with a more local supplier. I call them up and place my orders and they deliver in my area on Mon, Wed, and Fri. I've also found that their prices are alot better then UScutter's AND I don't have to pay shipping. If they have to drop ship it takes the same 2 days uscutter would take and it's STILL cheaper. -

What's your thought on this heat press deal?
Go-C Graphics replied to Go-C Graphics's topic in General discussion
Well I put $300 worth of HTV in my cart and it applied a discount of $200 toward the heat press. -
I've been looking to get a heat press so I can start practicing and making a few of my own shirts. I was planning on ordering this press that Dakotagrafx recommended as a beginner heat press. http://sunie.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1 $260 With free shipping! But then I ran across this deal from pro world. I searched the forums but couldn't find any reviews. If you buy $299 in heat transfer vinyl you can get the Heat press for $99. http://www.proworldinc.com/discount-transfer-machine Now this doesn't qualify for free shipping so that's going to run about $50 How good is their HTV vinyl? I've only heard people talk about siser HTV here so I don't know how good their vinyl is. Is the heat press any good??? My thought was I was going to be spending $260 on a heat press anyway plus another $50-$100 in HTV. That total comes to $310-$360. So for $450 I can have $300 in material with a heat press also. I'm having trouble figuring out which way is the better deal. Sunie and a small quantity of siser easyweed (Smaller investment) OR The Pro World deal (Higher investment cost) I think I get alot more material for my money My brain hurts.

Newbie question about Sublimation printer for mouse pads
Go-C Graphics replied to DeepEllumGlass's topic in Printers
So let me get this straight. With JPSS paper I can run it through my regular printer I use everyday and then that image will heat press onto a shirt. Does anyone have a link to research this more and learn how it works? -
Looking for a SVG Image of a " LAB DOG "
Go-C Graphics replied to JJennings's topic in Graphic Requests
Thanks for the LAB DOGS! -
Yea, once you get it you'll disappear for a few weeks while you play and collect a huge graphics collection. My GF lost me back in September for about a mouth.

That is an awesome idea. I really like it.
