OK you are just making me jealous those dragons are great.

I have seen on numerous videos on YouTube some people use 6 inch tape and layer it. I don't know how good it works if someone wants to chime in.

I have been a member for not to long I believe I joined about a week or so ago, and I have learned a lot from reading most of the forum. I also was lucky enough to get some great information with my questions. So I decided to instead of individually thank every person individually (fingers would get numb typing and the mouse button would be worn out from clicking lol) I would do it here. Thank You to all the great forum members for sharing your techniques and information to us all. Thank You to those who are friendly and are willing to help one out with artwork and more. Martin

Newbie having trouble with layering vinyl
MadHatterGraphix replied to passion4signs's topic in Vinyl
Well Dakota you have taught me some interesting things. I too prefer the diamonds over the eye lining method. It's interesting how so many methods in one field can be used in others such as screen printing and vinyl. -
Hopefully the University Of Wisonsin knows your using their image.

Newbie having trouble with layering vinyl

My computer has a window on the side of its case and for the last three years, when I bought it. I always I wanted to do someething with it and never really liked what other case sticker or decals people had to offer nor did I want to sandblast acrylic. So I decided on Etched glass vinyl. I'm an AMD guy and wanted to show my AMD pride and created this transfer from the FX line. I used a SIlhouette Cameo (didnt need the big cutter), designed in corel and sent to Silhouette Studio, retraced it, cleaned the image up, and then set the cutlines. I think t came out well and cant wait to put it on the case later. If you have any ffedback good or bad just give it to me I'm a big guy lol.

Promise thank you for the nice comment. I have been an AMD guy sone the Burton dual core. Never had a problem with AMD chip or customer service, unlike the other guy. I'm trying to get permission to sell these since no one else does, I have seen AMD decals but just their logo. Mojo_13 thank you, I can't wait either. I'm going do a test run on a piece of scrap acrylic first. I do this a lot just to see how things look and to hone my lining up, and squeege skills..

Rhinestone business
MadHatterGraphix replied to Mr Falcon's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Well I and my mother share a Silhouette Cameo which does my vinyl transfers for (small) vehicles, and computer cases and it also does Rhnestones for her business. I guess it all depends on do want a desktop cutter, or a floor stand cutter? How big of designs are you planning on doing? The Cameo goes up to 12" wide but length is infinity. If you use Silhouettes Designe studio that has the rhinestones add on you can make some nice designs. There are others out there but so far she hasnt neeed to upgrade. -
I will let you know liquidfusion, thank you vey much for all the information.

Ok I got that with my badger sandblaster. Thank you for the tip on the squeeze bottles. Any recommended psi?
-
I like it. I have a badger hobby sandblaster and haven't used it yet but now you inspired me. However I'm use to using diamond sand, with metal. What did you use for he glass? Basic sand? Or baking soda?

New to the forum not to T-shirt vinyl
MadHatterGraphix replied to MadHatterGraphix's topic in Introductions
The post office wasn't by helpful stating accidents happen and I figured it was a sample only they wouldn't replace it anyway. I did contact oracle but the rep I decided to email about the issue will be back jan 22 which doesn't bother me. Also thank you all for your kind welcomes, I'm hoping to gain a lot of knowledge on here. -
Let me induce myself, my name is Martin, I have been working with T-shirt vinyl for two years and have recently gotten into sign, and window vinyl. I have a USCUTTER, and a silhouette cameo for smaller window decals. In short I'm mostly into doing computer case modding vinyl and some auto as a hobby business. I have order samples from oracle however due to the mail my frosted.etched vinyl got ruined and I really wanted to try that. Anyway that's bout it thanks for listening.

I got my sample on Friday however the mail ripped the package open I wanted to test out the little sample they sent of their etched vinyl however that was the sample that got ruined. Anyone know if I can contact oracle and request another sample since this has happened ?
