    New to Coroplast

I'll be doing 11 coroplast signs (and one banner) next week, 6 @ 18x12 & 5 @ 24x18 and banner is 21x72. These will be for a couple events that my local church is doing, and they are requesting that the dates on the signs be removable so that we can reuse them next year by putting on new dates. The rest of the vinyl will be "permenant". These will be outdoors for about 3 weeks max. Any tips for a newbie about this? I'd planned on just using 631 for the dates and 641 or 651 for the rest except the fact that the dates would have to be matte finish? I'd prefer it all be either matte or gloss. Also, any tips on application? Wet? Dry? Any help is greatly appreciated! Here is the deisgn for 4 of them that will be done on dark blue/navy coro:

Anyone have any vectors (.eps or .svg) of a Nubian goat? They've got Udders, no horns, floppy ears...TIA!

    Nubian Goat anyone?

LOL! This goat has become the bane of my existence!! It's for a last minute banner for a friend to use at the County Fair on Monday. Thanks skarekrow for the goat - unfortunately they want more detail so I'm vectorizing something for the first time...Lord Help Me!

Please help identify these 2 fonts!

Thanks in advance!! I've scoured the internet trying to identify them! They are originally coming from a decal on a friends 4H equipment box that they take to fairs. The decal was made by a shop that has since closed up & I'm making her a banner - we'd love to be able to match the fonts! Thanks, Cindy

Please help identify these 2 fonts!

Sorry, my bad, didn't mean to include the Downs, IL. I'm more looking the script "Joshua Jacob Bros." And of course the Jones - which also could be 2 diff fonts, the J and the ONES...thanks again for everyone's help!!

Please help identify these 2 fonts!

Yes I did find that Coronet is similar to the script font in "Joshua Jacob Bros. and Downs, IL" but not the exact font -The capitol "J" and the super-casual loop of the lower case "s" in original pics are what's stumping me the most! Unless I'm missing something? Thanks so much for vectorizing the Jones! I'll start with that

Yeah, I couldn't cut years ahead of time anyway because it's not like the 3rd Sunday of December or anything - they swich up Saturdays & Sundays for events all the time it seems! No bother to cut a new date every year

    Hello from Central IL

Hi all! I've been mostly a lurker for about a year & a half, have read tons of GREAT posts from y'all! I've only posted a couple times but wanted to at least share a little about me & what I do I'm Cindy, from central IL. Went to school for Graphic Design too many years ago - back in the days of Quark xpress! LOL I just started cutting vinyl about 2yrs ago, mainly for some local businesses, churches, my Kids' schools & personal use. Had done plenty of decals, a few small signs up until this summer when I did my first banner (3x6) and some magnetic car signs for a friend. Will post those pics in the Show your work thread in a little bit! Besides that I've done beaded jewelry & paper crafts (read "craft show hell") for about 15yrs. Just signed on to do 11 more signs & another banner for our church and have some ?'s about coroplast that I'll post in the correct area. I def consider myself a Newbie to the cutting "business" but hope to learn a lot of good stuff from you all on here as I try to get a better set-up than my dining room table and a rubbermaid box of rolled vinyl (I'm sure that gets plenty of *cringe's* LOL! Thanks! ~Cindy

Good advice! I'll remind them but I'll probably be doing that too Good chance all of these will be in storage at my place anyway, being the good church members we are....LOL

    New to Coroplast

Yup! I'll be doing that - that way I know they don't use something harsh on any left over adhesive

My first banner & Magnetic car signs

Thanks all - tell u what, I found muscles in my back doing that banner that I'd forgotten were even there! I worked in a local sign shop 10+ years ago, straight out of college & it's bringing back memories! I'm trying to re-learn all the tips & tricks Love getting back into it though!

    Greenstar Intermediate- Which blue??

Need to put in an order today but having problems deciding between all the blues!! Greenstar Intermediate Calendered Vinyl in the 12" x 5yd Glossy (GSSIC125) cutting with 12" Cameo cutter, but not really sure which Blue to get- Sapphire Blue, Light Navy, Azure Blue, Olympic Blue? Knowing that diff computer monitors might show a little diff color, I don't want to rely on just that. I'm making some political "Vote for" signs using the Real Red, one of the blues & they'll have a white background - your general red, white & blue political color scheme. Can anyone who's used any of these blues give me a little more description? (ie. more aqua, more "primary", very dark, etc,,,) Thanks sooooo much in advance!!! ~Cindy

    Greenstar Intermediate- Which blue??

Thanks! I was leaning towards the Sapphire too...just added the Oracal chart to my order also, I'd been waiting to hear bk from Oracal to see if I could get a free chart from them but it's been a week with no answer so I guess I bite the bullet & pay the $10 here. Thanks again for your reply!
