If SB comes back and tells you it's a bitmap then it's not a vector file.. like banner said, it has to be a vector file.

If I understand correctly... once you go to the cutter screen, top left corner will show the different colors of the design... click on a color to select, hold the control key down to select more than one.

Well, that doesn't make any sense.. hopefully somebody more knowledgeable than me will jump in here.. Sorry, not much help. Mine does nothing in cut a print... in the cutter screen the jog only moves one direction no matter with button you hit.. that's handy if you want to test out the left red button

try "vapors"

Make sure your com port setting are the same and correct.. if not that possibly a bad cable?

The cutter head is probably up against the red (stop) button. Turn the machine OFF and move the cutter head to the right by hand.. enough to release the button. Turn back ON and you should be able to reset the origin.

I'm a newbie too... just been here a little longer It gets easier everyday!! If you have artistic abilities and a scanner you're set.

I'm not sure if they make their own or not... it would be pretty simple to do. You could hand draw something and scan it, clean it up a little in a photo program and then vectorize it in inkscape.. Or just draw it in a photo program, inkscape or cutter design software.
