SynFX 1 Posted September 7, 2008 Another income generating idea... In your own areas, think about an idea I like to refer to as Your-Ad-Here. This will be a program that you make use of your local delivery drivers (pizza and others) to allow us to add vinyl ads to their rear windows, doors, tailgates or entire vehicle for a flat monthly rate to the 'AD Runners.' Once your list of drivers have been compiled you can then go to work talking with local businesses about your ad program geared towards letting people know THEY have a business and how to get a hold of them. You can even break the ad down into the following: - Miles traveled - Area traveled - Duration of Ads(days to months) - Time of day This will empower business to target their customers! This of course COULD be used on 18 wheelers to go cross country... think of the possibilities!!! NOT ONLY will this work for vehicles, this will work in some other great high-traffic areas such as laundry mats, gas stations, car washes or other high-traffic areas not listed. This would be a great opportunity to generate an introductory or setup fee as well as a nice monthly income from these. The business hosting the multi-ad signage will not mind the extra income either for simply letting you place a sign with multiple listings there-in. I imagine that other businesses would jump at the chance to advertise in such a way! Ideas?
lowone 3 Posted September 11, 2008 This sounds like a pretty cool idea. I know of a few companies who do something similar, matching trendy cars with major companies. You get paid to let them advertise or YOUR car. However, I had not thought of doing this for myself. Good idea dude. I'm gonna look into it. Slainte
SynFX 1 Posted September 11, 2008 Can you see if you can get some information from this company so we can deconstruct it and use it for ourselves?
Benr98 40 Posted September 11, 2008 Hey Cody I like this idea and will be doing some investigating into it. Jenny
lowone 3 Posted September 16, 2008 Cody, I will look into it. I was offered years ago to advertise on one of my dubs (customizing and moddiing cars/bikes is my passion). I will look into some current companies as I don't recall the exact companies name. I'll get back to you as soon as I find something. lowone 3 Posted September 19, 2008 So I was looking around and found a similar company. It was so long ago and I can't remember the name. Anyway it was a setup like this http://www.gettingfreegas.com/?gclid=CIeS0M-K55UCFQw2GgodVS0DeA http://www.paidride.com/ I wasn't asked to pay a fee to "join" but you get the idea. SynFX 1 Posted September 19, 2008 PEOPLE DO NOT BELIEVE THOSE WEBSITE... those are crap... lol Just felt the need to throw that out there... We, as advertisers, would NEVER charge the drivers a fee, because that is just NOT how it works, ever. Plus you do not find people on a global scale like this sort of thing is intended for. We will sign people up, FREE, set them up with LOCAL companies that desire to update and/or add to advertising efforts, FREE. The company will pay you between $100 - $400 monthly depending on how you advertise. Side/Back Glass will get you $100 a month. Half Wrap will get you $200 a month. A full wrap will get you up to $400 a month. However, the COMPANY advertising on their vehicles will pay TWO to THREE times that amount each month PLUS a setup fee to cover costs of the wrap. This is where the advertising company makes money. We collect the blank cars, network with businesses interested in setting this up, we get the money and send it on to the advertisee/ad runners. lowone 3 Posted September 19, 2008 Sounds GREAT to me. Yeah these sites all seemed shady at best. All I could find now were the scam sites. When I was asked it was done personally and not some "member" or website thing. It actually came about from car shows I used to do. That however was very long ago. This idea you're having is much more concrete than what I could find now. I personally would love be in on a money making idea like this that still retains ethic standards. 5yrs as a retail exec has jaded my ideas of business (too greedy and cut throat) so I left to do this. I based the whole idea of doing my own thing to help keep people from getting ripped off. So (sorry about the tangent) I think this is an awesome idea dude.
