JoeCamaro 11 Posted August 18, 2008 If you mean the Auto Trace do this New Document > File > Place > Browse for desired image > OK > Select Image > Object > Live Trace > Live Trace Option > Click Preview Button > Play with the settings > When satisfied click ok. You are done. PS You need Cs2 or Cs3 Joe

mortalimmortal 7 Posted August 22, 2008 some times it works great for me and other times it looks like crap! any pointers to getting a better looking image with the trace? A lot of time its better to redraw it using the pen tool. I find inkscape does a better job then illustrator in auto vectoring.
veddderman123 0 Posted August 22, 2008 A lot of time its better to redraw it using the pen tool. I find inkscape does a better job then illustrator in auto vectoring. For some reason I can't get the pen tool down. I'm self tought (aka internet tutorials) in photoshop and illustrator and I think I get around both of them pretty good.... With the exception of the darn Pen tool. I guess I better get practicing.
