Whats the best way to do windshield banner

I want a solid background about 4 or 5" and the layer my text on to it. The question is how to measure for the curvature of the windshield at the top?

You want to measure the center distance of the window and then measure one side. That will give you the distance for the arch/curve.

I'm not sure I understand  Once I have the measurement how do I setup in SB to make my solid shape? or Should I do it in AI or PS?
