garageink 0 Posted August 13, 2008 I have been using my copam cutter for cutting heat transfer vinyl but am now looking to get into sign making and decals. I have the Copam CP-2500 and I am using Oracal 651 and 751 vinyl. My cutter is doing nothing but tearing it to pieces. Are there specific settings I should be using. Please help cause my local midget football team will be upset if I cant make there window decals. I am not extremely experienced because I mainly concentrate on screen printing. Any and all help is appreciated!!
Guest fivestar Posted August 13, 2008 Change the blade depth and/or pressure. Heatpress vinyl takes more pressure then sign vinyl does.
gg 1 Posted September 5, 2008 I have a Copam 2500 I cut heat press vinyl and Oracal 651, 751 & 851 all on the same settings.. 10cm/130g/0.25mm blade depth not sure.. when I put a new blade in, it's trial and error to get proper depth.. I've had mine 18 mo.. only used 3 blades, I cut about 2hrs per day.. hope this helps..
