cervelo 0 Posted July 22, 2008 I am trying to do some bumper stickers for a flying group I am involved with. Part of the lettering is small, ~0.20 inches, and I am having trouble weeding it without pulling all the letters off, or at least enough letters that is ruins the sticker. I have been using some Oracal 751 that I got for another project, but haven't been sucessfull with it. I read about freezing the vinyl after cutting but before weeding, so my next one is in the freezer right now. Would Oracal 651 be any better for small text? This is for an outdoor sticker. I am using SignBlazer Elements. Thanks, Rod
joebiv318 0 Posted July 25, 2008 If you are installing them try to weed the small letters after you apply.
cg_media 0 Posted July 27, 2008 for weeding small letters i always use oracal 751. im suprised you havent had any luck with it. but there are a couple things you can try. when cutting, lower the cutting forse just a little(751 is a thinner material so that does help me on ocasion). also if you have the time. after you cut it, let the vinyl sit for a day or so; the vinyl will shrink and seperate alittle, making it easier to weed. but if allelse fails, joes recamendation of weeding it after it is applied will almost always work.
