JoeCamaro 11 Posted May 11, 2008 Oh, thanx In PR we are thought English since 1st grade plus we have much influence from the USA culture. I still wonder how there are so many people not knowing English here in the island. I prefer to write it than to talk. I can talk it fluently, but I do only when strictly necessary. JoeCamaro 11 Posted May 11, 2008 I've always heard that English is one of the easiest languages to learn. It was the easiest language for me to learn LOL fivestar! English and Spanish have many words that are alike and that makes it easy to learn Car = Carro Auto = Auto Emblem = Emblema Faith = Fe Ball = Bola - Balon Bat = Bate Day = Dia Air = Aire Lamp = Lampara To name a few... Some are the same with a few more letters and others have a similar pronunciation or the same leters arraged in a different way. Joe
Guest Terry Posted May 11, 2008 Sad, but the first English they teach in Japan is: FREEZE, HANDS UP, DON'T MOVE etc... exchange students got shot and killed here on Trick or Treat.
