kearn 0 Posted April 25, 2008 6-6' letters 29 3' letters 17 - 1.5 letters all in vinyl
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted April 25, 2008 I charge $15 single sided,.$20 double sided. That includes the stake. If the order 5 or more, I drop it down by $2. I based that on the local prices here.
firemalt 10 Posted April 25, 2008 Wow... that's higher than I would of thought John. I was thinking sign shops would have those down to $0.50 per side, and a $1.00 for the sign.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted April 25, 2008 actually, most sign shops here won't even talk to you for a small order like that.
slopchops 1 Posted April 25, 2008 Most politicians buy these by the thousands. Sign shops that are set up for this kind of volume can eat your lunch. There is no way you can compete with them v/s vinyl signs. However if you take some of the trade magazines like Signcraft, in their ads you can get these signs dirt cheap and tack on your commission of whatever you can get away with. Watch out for the freight though. With gas soaring it may eat up any profits. Consider this method before you pass up any volume orders. If you are a serious sign company it would be very beneficial to learn this skill.
juniorranger 0 Posted May 8, 2008 Thats the same i charge, I charge 15 bucks a sign with stake and 20 or 25 for both sides and that is single color, if they order in qty. i do them for 10 or 12 or 15-16 for 2 color. I did some magnets for Charter Cable the other day and i did 20 of them for $9.75 each. 6"x12" with one color. I am high on alot of my pricing but i aint doing this for practice.
