Question about Graphtec CE6000-40. Upgrading from small MH-MK2

I just got my new Graphtec CE6000-40 and I can tell it is much more advanced than the MH-MK2 that I was using before, but I have a question..

 

It seems there is not a way to shorten the machine's margins on the sides of vinyl. That is important to me to reduce material waste. Is there a way?

Thanks but also I was wondering why it is saying "off scale" when i try to cut something tiny from sure cuts a lot.
