tshirtsink 0 Posted March 24, 2007 My setup: connection: supplied USB cut program: FlexiSIGN 7.00 Driver: recommened HP communication: Speed: 9600 Data: 8 Stop: 1 Parity: none handshake: hardware Problem: COPAM starts cutting while production manager is sending. Just when prod. manager in Flexi gets close to 100% the machine stops cutting. The COPAM still says cutting on the LED screen but nothing is happening. Is their another recommmended driver or communication setup I should be using? I also checked the setup in my control panel and it matches exactly with Flexi's setup. Help! thredz 1 Posted March 24, 2007 Mine is set up on the lpt port in ecp mode with a 1024 transmission buffer and the hpgl driver and I have had no problems.I don't even attempt to set either one up on the usb port because it is actually an emulated com port and I have found that emulators don't emulate as well as they should. tshirtsink 0 Posted March 24, 2007 I don't know much about USB ports. I ran a Summa on a serial port for 6 years with no problems. I think I may switch to the serial port config. Are you using the HP 7475 driver as instructed?
thredz 1 Posted March 24, 2007 No,I use the hpgl driver.the 7475 didn't work for me.I run R2 on a com port.I think usb ports are good for printers and cameras, but for cutters or pnc's you really need a dedicated connection instead of a shared port.
