SurberSigns 24 Posted May 23, 2013 after trying to google some info up i dont think the SAGA-720II can work with SB. sure cuts a lot, i am not sure. i think i have to pay for FlexiStart or Signcut. Is there any programs anybody is aware of that it will work with without paying high prices for software?? And will those programs still require the traced files through Adobe Illustrator like I was doing with signblazer?
slice&dice 2,451 Posted May 23, 2013 In general, a ROLAND driver or RedSail driver will get these generic Chinese cutters to run OK. You have to realize that Jerry Bonham, the developer of SignBlazer, was a technological guru and made sure to provide a plethora of cutter drivers into the program. Although SAGA brand is not specifically listed, those types of generic Chinese cutters all handle data pretty much in a standard way. In other words, there is unlikely to be some proprietary algorithm for it.
SurberSigns 24 Posted May 23, 2013 i chatted with support and they got me to run signcut with inkscape. and flexi starter. all of these softwares are so new to me its crazy!! hopefully i can still use the SB/PVW files into the new softwares.
slice&dice 2,451 Posted May 23, 2013 Your current SBE files will not open within any other program. The way to deal with them is to EXPORT as .eps (FILE menu - Export)
Jay2703 704 Posted May 23, 2013 I would try the Redsail: http://www.redsail.com.au/Redsail_and_Saga_Vinyl_Cutters.html
slice&dice 2,451 Posted May 23, 2013 I would try the Redsail Exactly the advice I provided above. Deja Vu. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/40671-saga-720ii-compatible-with-sb/?p=313233
