WONT RESPOND WITH COMPUTER

I just started up my 721 and it makes a lot of loud noise. It wont comunicate with my computer or sighnsx2, ihit the test button and the cutter stays to the right of the plotterand starts cutting (idont think my roller is working)

Make sure the carriage is on the tracks. You can gently press up on the bottom of it to set it back on the tracks if it came off during shipping. Send us an email for further help with connectivity.

The carriage works just fine, the drive roller doesn't move at all. the  head  moves side to side and the drive roller just vibrates loudly. it will cut nothing in test mode as well. The shipping box looked a little banged around the edges and it does appear to have a small scratch on the track plate ( i'm sure the scratch is not a big deal ). Can you please give me advice on getting this cutter to work. I even tried all 3 connections but still nothing. It really appears that the drive rollers are frozen in 1 position.
