Attempted to vector but didn't turn out as well as I would like

I was given a screenshot from a customer for what they want and I am having trouble getting it to look like I want it to. I found the font already (blade runner) and the biggest problem I am having is with the halo. I attached the screen shot and my attempt and it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

See if this helps you at all. Top halo 2 ovals. Bottom 3/4 halo, bezier curves that are adjusted. Feel free to tweak the nodes.
