sebgonz 0 Posted February 24, 2012 I'm wondering if there is a way to get my MH721 to cut off the vinyl after it finishes cutting the design. This will eliminate me having to cut it with an exacto or something stupid like that. I'm very new to this, but I've searched and haven't really found an answer. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
BearlyRich 167 Posted February 24, 2012 Yes you can. But you don't want to... In order for the cutter to cut completely through, you'd have to extend the blade down far enough. Unfortunately, this will also cut into the strip below the vinyl/backing and leave a groove. That's bad and why people have to replace their cutting strips. You don't want grooves in that. Use an envelope opened, exacto, scissors or anything else you fancy. You don't want your cutter doing that job...
sebgonz 0 Posted February 24, 2012 Wow. The envelope opener is a great, simple idea. Thank you for the help. Now that you explained it, it makes total sense.
arty-rc 719 Posted February 24, 2012 I use a "Scotch Paper Cutter" used for gift wrap+.
