vshari 2 Posted January 27, 2012 Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to cutting cardstock. Cutting vinyl I have zero problems but I was trying to make custom invitation holders using cardstock. Does anyone know how much force I should be using to get clean edges? This was my first try. Next try I'm changing the orientation so the lettering can be bigger. The white paper is just a place holder for where the invitation will be inserted. Its supposed to say LOUIS IV PRINCE OF THE SEA FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY Any tips? Jay2703 704 Posted January 27, 2012 Are you using a backing when you cut it? I know the Cricuts have a sticky plastic backing that they use for cutting card stock.
vshari 2 Posted January 27, 2012 TOTALLY DIDN'T THINK TO USE BACKING. Only had transfer tape, so I just tried it. Changed the orientation, adjusted my blade and increased my force to 230. I'll be getting that cricut mat this weekend and may go up on my force to 240. But I think I got it. THANKS
