Importing from Illustrator to Signblazer

I generally stick to simple things and usually just create in Signblazer. I've started trying Illustrator and am really enjoying it! A problem I seem to be having is copying from Illustrator to Signblazer. Usually I just copy and paste and everything is fine. On my latest job, I have some outlined text. Red text with a black outline. When I copy/paste into Signblazer, it is just copying the red text, not the black outline. What am I doing wrong?? Any input would be greatly appreciated--Thanks!!

Your outline can not be a stroke applied to the same path as the red....So you probably need to OBJECT > PATH > OUTLINE STROKE
