Hi! Can you copy and paste data from one inkscape file to another?

To clarify,

I want to copy a vectored logo in one file to another, basically a logo with someones name under it, and then use the logo again for somebody elses name under it. (No, Im not selling them as fakes)

If I try to copy from one file and paste the logo to the other, it doesnt work. Duplicate appears to only duplicate within the same file as well. Any iedas would be awesome and save me a lotta work.

Try to save it in one inkscape where you used it then you can import it along with any other files you need into another inkscape window where you need it.
