22 2 Posted February 1, 2011 Is there a program that will covert and view .eps files to something else so I can use them in Inkscape? What methods do all of y'all do for using .eps files and Inkscape? I've read something about word or openoffice?
Jay2703 704 Posted February 1, 2011 I will use Inkscape to create EPS files. I import the EPS files into SignBlazer to cut. There is a viewer software called Irfanview that I use to see the EPS images. Hope this helps Jay
22 2 Posted February 2, 2011 Well I started to play around with the Irfanview and I could not get it load any of my EPS with out "Ghostscript". Pretty Much what I'm looking to do is edit a few .eps images I downloaded.
Jay2703 704 Posted February 2, 2011 I will use SignBlazer to edit the eps files. Other than that you could use Illustrator.
smee 0 Posted February 3, 2011 I use flexistarter which I find is not real good for editing. If I have and EPS I want to make big changes to I make it a decent size and then copy and paste it into Paint, save it as a bitmap, import it into inkscape and then revectorise it. Kind long way around but it works for me. Good for stuff that's not too complex.
vetteman9368 0 Posted February 6, 2011 if you save an EPS file as a .pdf you can import it back into inkscape (at least I do on my mac)
