boxman70 0 Posted January 24, 2011 Anyone know what you use to make football helmet decals?I know 20 Mil Vinyl is typically used so I'm assuming a printer? I was asked by a local youth team if it was something I could do.I told him let me look into it. Thanks in advance.

deth502 39 Posted January 25, 2011 it would make more sense to me. any of the vinyl ive seen was in the 2-3 mil range. but then again, just because ive not sen it dosent mean it dosent exist, so i cant be sure. but like i said, if ti IS 20 mil, sounds damn thick to me. that should be more like heavy duty sandblasting resist. theSignPad 2 Posted January 25, 2011 Are you talking about wrapping? or just "cut" vinyl? I've wrapped helmets (hockey, motocross etc) with 3M CV3. You could use regular 3M or Avery "Cast" vinyls for this type of application if you are going the cut vinyl route.
boxman70 0 Posted January 25, 2011 No 20 mil is right... http://www.teamfitzgraphics.com/helmet-decals/football-helmet-decals.html Made with a thick and durable 20-mil. vinyl, these Football Helmet Decals will last the rigors of an entire season. They arrive ready to peel and apply and conform to the complex curves of your helmets with ease. ^check out that site...says that on it. anyone else might know?
