To replace the z-chip:

Turn over cutter, there are 2 plates on bottom we want to remove the smaller one.

Remove 4 larger screws around edge and 2 feet. Lift up plate enough to unplug

connectors. Cut wire tie holding wire to fan post. The z-chip is under the fan,(the one by itself)

so we have to remove the fan. Remove the 4 screws holding board to plate ( THE WHITE

SPACERS WILL FALL OUT) Remove nuts holding fan to board, set fan aside.

Chip should have a dot or mark of some kind in lower left corner, in any case just make

sure the lettering is going the same way and you should have no problems. To remove the old

one pry up on ends with tweezers or small screwdriver, align pins on new one with socket and

press gently to seat chip, making sure all pins are in and none are bent under chip.

Put back together is just the reverse. HINT put screws through plate and set spacers and

the board on them and just tighten the nuts enough to keep them in place then go back and tighten

them all, this will save time because you won
