cutter has gone crazy

i have a refine mh/721....when i upgraded my signcut and went to do some cutting with scraps it was..well still is....pulling the vinyl too far forward and my preview for cutting is totally different. daaaa, i didn't copy what my cutter was set at and the preview is a big empty window with the preview way down in the left hand corner....nothing like it used to be. does anyone have any idea what i need to do?

example: i was cutting ducks, i cut one, moved vinly forward a little to leave some space between the two and it pulled forward to the point of cutting into half of the other duck...ugggg....what do i need to change?

Dont move the vinyl, move the blade.

Leave the vinyl where it is, put the cutter in offline mode and with the arrows, move the blade to the desired point, then (IMPORTANT) hit the ORIGIN button. This will tell the cutter to start cutting in the selected point. You will see the balde going down and up. Then hit the offline button again to put the cutter in Online mode.
