Cannot get decent paths from a high resolution image

Hey people!

I've been trying to get a decent path without distorting the letters of this poster

No matter how I try I always seem to keep letters that are just a bit off from the original.

I was wondering if anybody here had this poster in .ai or .pdf format with paths or if anybody here could advise me to do "non weird" version of live trace

It should be vector already. Open it in Inkscape and save as .eps.
