hawkeyeent 0 Posted October 23, 2010 So when i go to order vinyl, whether online or over the phone, I look through my chart and boom -- I see Transparent vinyl. For some reason it just creates a whirlwind of curiosity around its uses... even more so because recently I have been printing some small graphics with an inkjet printer and the spray gloss just isn't cutting it. I think my next vinyl order will include the Transparent to see how it work as a glossy laminate... Have any of you found any uses for it? Does it work as a laminate, if not just a glossy finish? hockeygirl 30 Posted October 23, 2010 You're probably better of using laminating film, they're much thinner than vinyl and they come in high gloss, semi-gloss and matte.
rackitup 0 Posted October 23, 2010 I use it colored transparent vinyl over silver carbon fiber to make colered carbon fiber. greg
hawkeyeent 0 Posted October 23, 2010 Yea, I'm going to try and get a few samples from Oracal or 3M. Also, nice tip on the colored carbon fiber.
