fatewilleatyou 3 Posted October 12, 2010 This mirror was a gift from the in-laws, perfect size and shape for what I needed, but the roses were a bit to traditional for me, so I punked them up a bit. It took quite a while to trace and scan the existing rose motiff, but once I had that, it was fairly easy to draw the vines and thorns. I've done a few stickers, but decals have turned out better, I need to remember that larger scale things have fewer weeding headaches. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v220/fatewilleatyou/photo-5.jpg (click for larger)
wwpro 1 Posted October 12, 2010 Looks great to me, but you should do the same in reverse and etch the vines instead of them being vinyl and the mirror will look like it was made that way. Just a suggestion
fatewilleatyou 3 Posted October 12, 2010 Great idea. I want to try etching, but I want to practice a bit on smaller things. Should I even bother messing with etching creams, or should I go right for a compressor? I did try to buy etching cream, but it's not available in stores due to local law.
