scottboy1973 0 Posted August 31, 2010 I have bee asked to sumit a quote on a couple of fire trucks. I could use alot of advice on this one. Are there any laws That regulate the use of reflective vinyl on emergency vehicles? I have read many members preference of brands of reflective vinyl. Does anyone have opinions on ones to avoid? Specifically, does anyone have experience with Vector or EnduraLITE. Being they are at the low end of the cost scale I want to know if they are a good value. thanks in advance

ff958 0 Posted September 5, 2010 Yes there are. One is they have to have a 4 or 6 inch (can't remember which) white reflective stripe around the the truck. They also have to have 6 inch reflective stripes alternating colors in an inverted "V" on the back of the truck. It only has to cover 50 percent of the back. NFPA 1903 I think. I normally use 3m stuff for my reflective. My preference, but some depts. request it.
