jmatson 2 Posted August 29, 2010 I am working on a Round boarder. The Problem is when i send it to sign cut. It wants to a Circle in the boarder wwhere the knife would turn and go to the inside. THe only way i found out how to fix this is to Rasterize the boarder and then trace it again. I am using Illustrator CS4. Untitled-2.ai Untitled-2.ai
jeremySI 18 Posted August 29, 2010 it was doing that because of the two rounded paths you have intersecting over each other, try this one Untitled-2 [Converted].ai Untitled-2 [Converted].ai

jeremySI 18 Posted August 29, 2010 -opened in AI -object>expand appearance... to change it from an outline into a filled path - that step makes the beginning and end point rounded overtop of each other which is where you were getting your circle cutout -then you do pathfinder>unite(add to shape area on older versions i think) -bam all done, that step just adds any overlapping paths to the whole shape area
