crgraphics 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Hi I just bought a used MH871,two things seem wrong. 1) the reset light stays on 2) the carriage stays down when cutting it does move up and down with the power button. seems I read somewhere if the red reset switch is this will cause this to happen. Am I on track? or is there something else I should check before doing the ticket thing? Thanks
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted July 26, 2010 Was it acting like this before you purchased it? Did you see it cut before buying? Do a search for battery test, and try it. Is the carriage head in the track, the white wheels, are they firmly in their track?

prestonservco 26 Posted July 26, 2010 Pretty sure that's a bad motherboard. Having fried two of them this month on the same model - I'd say your out $90 for a motherboard. Sorry. Do the ticket thing. They offer lots of help to troubleshoot. Just be patient, it takes a lot of time to work through the emails, etc.
