Sign cut Will no longer accept certain files

Recommended Posts

When I first got sign cut and was playing around with it I could import .svg and .eps files and few others now the only one it will accept is .ai files.  I am creating files with Corel x4  any ideas?  When I open them in signcut they are just blank not but they worked at one time.

We have seen issues where the import function ceases to work due to a corruption... Make sure to walk through the steps via the link provided by CRD but if you are still having the issue, you may want to completely remove SignCut and do a clean reinstall... I am interested to hear your update.

Thanks for the info, I am using Sign Cut pro and it says its got all the updates.  I had just been opening the file in sign cut instead of exporting it straight from corel.  When I try to export to sign cut from Corel I get a runtime error.  When I try to  reinstall the plug in from sign cut I get another execution of command error.  I just re-installed corel last night to help with a diff prob I was having with it.  I guess I will re-install sign cut and see what happens.

I reinstalled sign cut same thing happening will not import from corel will not accept anything but .AI images.  I am new at this is their an important step I could be missing do I need to install the corel plug in or does sign cut come with it? I am assuming since i have the option to send to Signcut in Corel that I have the plug in.  Also just to clarify when I open other formats I just get a blank grey screen as if nothing is their and the size is listed at 0x0  Seems like its not that Hard not sure what I could be missing...any ideas?  If not I will just use it as I have been but just makes me wonder whats going on.

Could you restore at a previous point where X4 and SC where not installed?

Then first install X4 and then SC.

Try a new download of SC PRO.

I am using W7 too without any problem with this combination of X4 and SC PRO.

I would make sure you are running both Corel and SignCutPro as a Administrator... You probably are but if you are not this will cause issues. Howard gave me some other good info on this but I told him to chime in on this.

The first thing I can offer is to be sure there is no bitmap data in your files.  Bitmaps make signcut unhappy.

You will get all kinds of bad attitudes from signcut if there is any kind of bitmap or embedded pdf data in your file.

I'll post again with more info.
