stormy 5 Posted June 4, 2010 Had this cutter for years. Works fine on my Vista. Trying to switch it to my Windows 7 laptop as my vista desk isnt being too reliable lately. When I plug it in it says USB not recognized. Tried everything. Can't find driver. Driver installed correctly. blah blah blah. Ben took control of my computer and tried his magic for about 30 minutes and still no luck! Any suggestions?

thredz 1 Posted June 4, 2010 I had to download the prolific driver for the usb/serial cable on mine. But after that I had no problems at all.

thredz 1 Posted June 4, 2010 The prolific driver is in the support page at UScutter. The link is below. They also have a driver for the usb/serial in the refine section if this one doesn't work. http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=3&pcid=0&nav=
stormy 5 Posted June 4, 2010 hmmm....contemplating whether I should go back and get that cable that I returned already...... think there's a good chance that's why signcut wouldnt cut? It showed up as a COM5 when I installed it and set it under that so all looked good. Just didnt work.
